Dr. Miguel dela Cruz completed his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation before returning to the Philippines to establish the first robotic cardiac surgery program at a Philippine private hospital. He has performed over 1,200 open-heart procedures and is the youngest Brod ever elected to the Board of the Philippine College of Surgeons. His work on minimally invasive valve repair has been published in the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.
